Description
The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, and physical disabilities in their homes and communities. Responsibilities include building relationships, assisting with daily routines and personal care, supporting health and safety needs, administering medications, providing transportation, documenting services, and encouraging independence. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, an insured vehicle, and pass a DHS background study; a high school diploma or GED and experience working with individuals with disabilities are preferred. The role offers paid training in Brooklyn Park, health, dental, life insurance, disability insurance, PTO, and paid holidays.
