Description
The Patient Financial Responsibility Specialist serves as a subject matter expert for insurance questions, manages patient responsibility estimates and point-of-service collections, assists with financial assistance applications, coordinates with Medicaid eligibility vendors, handles cash deposits, and answers patient questions about explanations of benefits, payments, and itemized statements. The role also provides cross coverage and training to other team members and requires a high school education or GED; an associate or technical degree and five years of patient access experience are preferred.
