Shenandoah County Social Services is seeking an advanced-level Benefit Programs Specialist III to perform complex public assistance eligibility determinations, fraud and quality-control case reviews, client interviews, reporting, outreach, staff mentoring, and program support. The role requires knowledge of public assistance laws and programs, case management, interviewing and investigation, mathematics, computer and agency software use, regulatory interpretation, documentation, and professional communication. A high school diploma plus related benefit-program work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, is required; LDSS experience, SNAP and Medicaid training, related work experience, and Spanish bilingual ability are preferred.
