Description

The Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Department of Social Services is hiring a Benefit Programs Trainer for its Training Unit. The role develops and delivers instructor-led training on public assistance programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, energy assistance, LTSS, and other benefit programs; creates training materials; evaluates training effectiveness; supports staff in applying program guidelines; and monitors trainee case application. The position requires a high school diploma supplemented by training and related experience, five years of eligibility experience, and strong communication, presentation, organizational, and training skills. It is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., may require emergency shelter duty, and includes pre-employment drug testing, a criminal background check, education verification, and a Chesterfield County application.
