Piano is hiring a full-time Backend Data Engineer to design, develop, and evolve its real-time Big Data processing pipeline for the Digital Intelligence platform. The role covers ETL development, user-story scoping, architecture decisions, testing, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and cost management. It uses Java and Go, Kafka, Redis, SQL, MongoDB, AWS, Kubernetes, and related tools, and offers a hybrid arrangement with remote work up to three days per week. The position requires a Bac+2 to Bac+5 qualification in computer science and significant backend or data development experience.
