Washington State University is hiring a full-time, permanent Billing Services Representative, also titled Patient Services Representative, for Cougar Health Services in Pullman, Washington. The role supports medical billing and patient services by reviewing records and diagnostic/procedure codes, submitting insurance claims, obtaining authorizations, scheduling referrals, establishing eligibility, processing remittance advices, maintaining insurance accounts receivable, evaluating patient financial status, and providing telephone and customer service support. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus relevant office or healthcare customer service experience, MS Office proficiency, and strong communication and customer service skills; medical terminology, electronic medical records, HIPAA, CPT, and ICD-10 knowledge are preferred.
