The Bioelectrochemistry Research Scientist will support the scientific strategy and development of a deep-tech startup’s bioelectrochemical technology for enhanced biomethane production. The role involves defining research priorities, designing and interpreting experiments on electrode-microbe interactions, methane pathways, and reactor performance, translating results into technology-development decisions, and collaborating with laboratory and engineering teams. The position requires expertise in applied bioelectrochemistry and anaerobic digestion microbiology, strong scale-up awareness, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams; it offers a minimum gross salary of €105,000 per year, equity participation, flexible working hours, and remote working options.
