Description
The Biology Department Laboratory Manager coordinates instructional laboratories, manages supplies, equipment, instrumentation, and inventory, oversees laboratory maintenance and hazardous-waste disposal, supports faculty and laboratory technicians, monitors budgets and facilities, and coordinates student aides and living organisms. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Biology, laboratory and biological knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency, and preferably two years of applied laboratory experience and laboratory managerial experience involving accounting and budgeting.
