LAC Federal is looking for a skilled and customer-service oriented Biomedical Reference Librarian to offer general and specialized reference, research, and information services within a federal biomedical research library setting in Bethesda, Maryland. This role focuses on advancing and disseminating biomedical knowledge by providing expert research assistance, literature searching, instructional support, and outreach services across various biomedical and health science disciplines.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Two years of professional experience in biomedical, academic, research, or federal library environments.
Experience conducting literature searches using PubMed/MEDLINE.
Experience providing instruction, training, or user support related to library resources and research tools.
Proficiency in using electronic information resources, integrated library systems, and online research platforms.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a biomedical, health sciences, or federal research library.
Familiarity with NIH, NLM, or federal scientific research programs and information resources.
Experience supporting systematic reviews, evidence-based medicine, or clinical research.
Knowledge of citation management tools like EndNote, RefWorks, Zotero, or Mendeley.
Experience in developing online tutorials, LibGuides, webinars, or instructional materials.
Familiarity with bibliometric, research impact, or scholarly communications support services.
Undergraduate or graduate coursework in biology, medicine, public health, chemistry, or another scientific discipline.
Experience in providing virtual reference or online user support.
Membership in MLA or AHIP.
Reading knowledge of one or more foreign languages relevant to biomedical or historical collections.
