Description
The employer is seeking an experienced offshore Captain for a rotational position on a 100-foot sailing yacht serving at-risk youth in the Caribbean between Trinidad and St. Maarten. Captains will serve 1 to 3 nine-week expeditions per year, managing the vessel, maintaining and repairing systems, enforcing safety procedures, supporting youth programming, and building relationships with students and staff. The role requires USCG 100-Ton Master, RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, or IYT Yachtmaster Offshore credentials, at least five years as Captain or Master of a sailing vessel over 65 feet, strong yacht-system knowledge, a valid driver’s license, empathy for youth, and First Aid, CPR, or Lifeguard certifications. Compensation is $7,500 per month plus a $2,500 term bonus, with flights and GeoBlue health insurance provided.
