Description
The Boiler Operator will operate and make minor repairs to stationary steam boilers, steam generators, and auxiliary boiler equipment under the supervision of a licensed engineer. Duties include firing boilers, regulating stokers and oil burners, maintaining water levels and draft, monitoring pressure and temperature, performing emergency repairs, keeping records, and maintaining clean and safe boiler and pump rooms. The role requires a current, valid Black Seal Boiler Operator License and knowledge of boiler operation, maintenance, safety devices, and related equipment. It is a regular full-time, provisional open-competitive appointment in Camden, New Jersey, with a salary of $43,933.60 to $49,755.70 and no visa sponsorship.
