Description
The Border Patrol Agent (BORTAC Operator) is a primary law enforcement officer in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Laredo Sector, Targeting and Intelligence Division, Special Operations Detachment. The role operates BORTAC, responds to high-risk incidents, civil disturbances, hostage situations, warrant executions, tactical operations, surveillance, search and rescue, and other emergency situations, while enforcing immigration and criminal laws and apprehending smugglers or aliens. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, meet residency, medical, firearms, background, polygraph, and age requirements, have completed the BORTAC Selection and Training Course, and possess specialized law enforcement experience. The position starts at $95,548.00 and goes up to $124,215.00.
