Description
Abacus Technology is looking for a full-time Boundary Systems Engineer to join their team at the AFCENT Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) at Shaw AFB. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and managing the enterprise boundary management server, analyzing firewall reports and logs, creating custom UNIX scripts, researching and tracking outages, utilizing firewall toolsets, recommending changes, performing fault isolation and resolution, configuring DNS and BIND, providing on-the-job training, implementing backup procedures, assisting with new security device implementations, participating in datacenter hardware/software upgrades, managing proxy servers and DNS, providing guidance on firewall optimization and installation, and offering LAN/WAN support. The role requires strong networking and systems engineering experience, along with certifications such as Security+, Network+, CCNA, and ITIL.
