The Broadcast Systems Technician supports the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and improvement of broadcast, production, information technology, networking, electronic, and transmission systems for a 24/7 media operation. The role covers servers, storage, virtual environments, cloud services, enterprise applications, IP networking, media automation, production control, content management, graphics, distribution workflows, electronic and electromechanical equipment, power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and facility infrastructure. The technician provides technical support to station departments, maintains documentation, assists with cybersecurity and business continuity, and may travel to remote facilities, transmitter sites, and production locations. An associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience, technology-systems experience, troubleshooting and analytical skills, and a valid driver’s license are required.
