Description
Lubbock County is hiring an HVAC/R Controls Engineer to manage and operate its computerized Energy Management Control System, including HVAC/R direct digital controls, programmable controllers, variable-frequency drives, sensors, and other electronic controls. The role oversees a control network center, performs repairs, installations, calibration, and control-system programming; supports energy-efficiency programs and budgets; coordinates contractors; and responds to 24-hour emergency calls. Candidates need a high school diploma, 8 years of HVAC-related experience, at least 5 years of computer-network and electronic-controls experience, computer operation and programming knowledge, and a valid Texas driver’s license.
