LAPORTE is hiring a Building Mechanical Engineer to join its consulting engineering team in Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta. The role involves designing and preparing detailed plans, specifications, studies, and drawings for HVAC, dust collection, chilled water, heating water, steam, compressed air, controls, and plumbing systems; conducting surveys and system improvements; estimating construction budgets; participating in site supervision; managing MEP projects; coordinating with clients and other disciplines; and mentoring junior engineers. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, current P.Eng registration with EGBC, APEGA, or APEGS, at least five years of design engineering experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
