Description
HDR is hiring a Building Structural Engineering Intern to gain experience on projects involving buildings, existing structures, water-bearing structures, foundations, light industrial facilities, and other types of facilities. The intern will perform load calculations, analysis, design, spreadsheet development, drawing production, fabrication and shop-drawing review, site observations, and other duties under the direct supervision of an engineer or project manager. The role requires current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, attention to detail, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office skills; preferred qualifications include two years of completed coursework, a 3.0 GPA, relevant software knowledge, structural steel or concrete design coursework, and current enrollment in a civil, structural, or architectural engineering program.
