Description
WSP is hiring a Building Special Inspector for its New York City office to independently inspect concrete, steel, and masonry work on construction projects and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contracts, codes, and safety requirements. The role includes field inspections, structural-document review, coordination with engineers and contractors, documentation of inspection findings, and occasional travel. Candidates need a high school diploma, 0–2 years of relevant post-education experience, a valid state driver’s license, OSHA 10-hour certification, and familiarity with construction inspection practices and codes; a civil engineering degree and relevant special-inspector certifications are preferred. The expected hourly compensation is $27.00–$33.00, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, leave, and other benefits.
