The School Bus Assistant assists a bus driver with safely boarding and alighting students, securing them in seats and wheelchairs, monitoring conduct, managing behavior, documenting concerns, supporting emergency evacuation, maintaining the vehicle, completing paperwork, and following training and safety requirements. The role requires applicants to be at least 18 years old (19 for New York), meet physical and medical requirements, pass training, and demonstrate professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work with children.
