Durham School Services is hiring a School Bus Assistant at the Herrin Sports Complex in Herrin, Illinois. The role assists bus drivers with boarding and alighting students, safely seats and restraints students, monitors conduct, manages behavior, supports emergency evacuation, maintains vehicle cleanliness, completes paperwork, and follows safety training. No prior experience is required because training is provided; applicants must be at least 18 years old, meet physical and medical requirements, and have strong communication, interpersonal, and pupil-behavior-management skills. The starting pay rate is $16.00, with medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, holiday pay, PTO accrual, and retirement savings plan enrollment benefits.
