The School Bus Assistant supports the safe transportation of students by assisting with boarding and exiting, securing restraints, monitoring conduct, managing behavior, documenting concerns, evacuating the vehicle in emergencies, maintaining the bus interior, completing paperwork, and reporting to duty. The role requires students to be at least 18 years old, meet physical and medical requirements, complete training, and have strong communication, interpersonal, and pupil-behavior-management skills.
