The role combines dispatch and scheduling services for public bus transportation with assigned bus driving. Responsibilities include receiving and scheduling transportation requests, operating dispatch software, maintaining trip and fare records, providing customer service, coordinating with transportation management, and driving buses safely while performing vehicle inspections, maintenance, fueling, and passenger assistance. The position requires a high school diploma, one year of public-transportation bus-driving experience, a Michigan Class C Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement, and required DOT physical, drug, medical, and CPR qualifications.
