Description
The Bus Driver / Maintenance role safely operates a bus or alternative vehicle to transport children between their homes and Head Start centers, maintains vehicle and child-transportation records, establishes routes, supports classroom transitions, teaches safe riding practices, and performs routine maintenance. The position requires a valid CDL with an S endorsement where applicable, prior experience transporting children and working with children ages 0–5, physical ability to lift children, background and physical examinations, and completion of classroom and behind-the-wheel training before transporting children.
