Description
Leicestershire County Council is recruiting permanent bus escorts for its Passenger Fleet Team at various locations in Leicestershire. The role involves accompanying vulnerable adults and children, including people with special educational needs and physical or learning difficulties, on transport to schools, day centres, and activities; ensuring their wellbeing and safe travel; maintaining records; communicating with passengers and the public; and, after training, performing moving and handling, first aid, medication, and rescue medication duties. Packages are available on part-time split shifts ranging from 8 to 20 hours per week, primarily during school term time, and the post requires an enhanced DBS check and random drug and alcohol testing.
