Description
The Bus Operations Supervisor oversees dispatch and bus operations for GRTC, supervising Bus Operators and assisting Bus Operations Managers. The role maintains schedules, operator attendance and leave records, CAD/AVL communications, road and detour documentation, employee assignments, disciplinary records, operational reports, and accident investigations. It also requires on-street supervision, schedule reestablishment after breakdowns, assistance with unruly passengers, and operation of transit vehicles when needed. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, two years of supervisory or management experience, three years of bus transit experience preferred, prior union environment experience preferred, and a valid Virginia Commercial Driver’s License.
