James City County is hiring a part-time Bus Operator in Williamsburg to operate a Williamsburg Area Transit Authority bus on an assigned route. The role provides safe and efficient passenger service, collects fares, assists passengers, performs vehicle safety and maintenance checks, completes daily reports, and maintains cleanliness. Applicants need a high-school-equivalent education and experience, and must obtain a valid Virginia Class B Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and air brakes endorsement within 90 days of hire.
