Smart Start is hiring a Business Development Representative to expand market presence and develop strategic influencer partnerships in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. The role is primarily field-based, with approximately 80% of the time spent in the field and about 40% overnight travel, including occasional weekend travel for conferences and industry events. The representative will build relationships with influencers, government officials, and referral sources; generate new sales; provide consultative support on alcohol monitoring and ignition interlock products; manage territory and competitive strategies; and maintain CRM and monitoring-platform proficiency. The position requires residence in Maryland, sales or business development experience, independent field-work ability, breath-alcohol testing-device proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. Base pay is $70,000 to $85,000 annually plus a performance-based incentive.
