Description

Norfolk County is hiring a temporary full-time By-Law Enforcement Officer in Simcoe, Ontario, for approximately 12 months. The role investigates complaints, conducts inspections, interprets and enforces municipal by-laws and provincial legislation, issues orders and tickets, maintains investigative records, prepares court documentation and cases, gives testimony, supports hearings and council meetings, and provides public education and interagency liaison. The position requires relevant post-secondary enforcement or police/law-and-security training, at least two years of related investigative experience, knowledge of Ontario legislation, strong research, communication, organization, conflict-resolution, and Microsoft Office skills, plus a valid Ontario G driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
