Description
The WAF Technician supports DDG modernization, repair, and systems restoration by managing Work Authorization Forms, tag-outs, work boundaries, permits, and shipboard work-control documentation. The role coordinates approvals across production, quality assurance, ship’s force, engineering, testing, and customer representatives; tracks open and expired authorizations; maintains audit-ready records; and helps prevent unauthorized work and unsafe conditions. It requires prior Navy, shipyard, or ship repair experience, familiarity with shipboard work-control processes, and the ability to work onsite in Seattle and onboard an active Navy vessel, with 20% travel.
