Description

The Cable Installer will support the Department of Energy’s Network Operations Division by installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting CAT6, telephone, coaxial, and fiber-optic cabling; supporting vertical and horizontal runs; replacing defective components; diagnosing signal-transmission issues; using testing and diagnostic equipment; documenting findings; and maintaining compliance with DOE requirements. The role requires experience with cabling infrastructure, technical-diagram interpretation, cable-testing proficiency, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L‑Level security clearance, with federal-agency or secure-facility experience and industry certifications preferred.
