Description
This role involves performing intermediate skilled mapping, recording, and technical computer work to create and update tax maps and E911 data for Craven County. Responsibilities include advanced cadastral mapping and property data maintenance to support land ownership records, property taxation, and emergency services operations within the County’s GIS and E911 databases. The employee will maintain the integrity and accuracy of parcel mapping and addressing systems, reviewing ownership transfers, parcel changes, and boundary adjustments according to established procedures and state statutes. Additionally, they will maintain and update E911 addressing and property location data to support emergency response services and county operations. Regular communication with various stakeholders like property owners, surveyors, and government agencies is essential to address inquiries, explain procedures, and resolve discrepancies.
