Molex is hiring a CAE Engineer in Lisle, Illinois to perform structural simulations and optimization for datacom interconnect products. The role involves nonlinear FEA using Hypermesh, LS-DYNA, Abaqus, or similar tools; communicating results to product design engineers; recommending structural improvements; correlating simulations with physical tests; developing modeling methods; leading new-product development and global engineering teams; and publishing technical papers and patents. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related engineering and at least one year of experience with CAD, CAE simulation software, and Altair products are required; an M.S. or Ph.D. and additional CAE, molding, optimization, and machine-learning experience are preferred. The position pays $80,000–$140,000 per year and does not qualify for visa sponsorship.
