Description
Ford is hiring an Engine CAE Engineer to lead multi-body dynamics computer-aided engineering analyses for internal combustion engines and related components. The role performs FEA, structural durability, NVH, reliability, robustness, and optimization analyses; provides design direction to engine components and programs teams; develops and improves CAE methodologies and guidelines; and collaborates with design, manufacturing, quality, and other cross-functional teams to resolve prototype and production issues. The position requires a master’s degree in automotive engineering or a related field, at least two years of engine components and systems design and analysis experience, proficiency with CAE tools such as AVL Excite, Valdyn, Hypermesh, Optistruct, and MATLAB, and the ability to translate analytical results into actionable design recommendations. The role is hybrid, with possible onsite requirements of four or more days per week, and offers salary grades 7 and 8 ranging from $86,600 to $166,200.
