Carrier is hiring a Calculation Engine Developer to design, develop, test, debug, and maintain calculation engines supporting commercial HVAC products and sales tools. The role applies heat transfer, thermodynamics, and numerical methods to create engineering algorithms, collaborates with optimization and global teams, supports integration into modeling and configuration platforms, and addresses numerical stability, convergence, accuracy, and computational performance. Candidates need a master’s degree or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline, at least two years of relevant engineering experience, strong knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and numerical analysis, and programming experience in Python, Modelica, C++, or a related language.
