Carrier Global Corporation is hiring a Calculation Engine Engineer for its Modeling and Simulation team to develop and maintain calculation engines supporting commercial HVAC equipment. The role applies thermodynamics, heat transfer, and numerical methods to create accurate engineering algorithms, collaborates with optimization, marketing, product engineering, and global teams, and supports integration, validation, testing, and deployment of the engines. Candidates need foundational knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, numerical analysis, and nonlinear algebraic and differential equation systems, along with hands-on programming experience in Python, Modelica, C++, or related languages and HVAC/R or power plant equipment experience.
