The Metrology Inspector performs periodic inspection and calibration of less complex assets, including rotor blade and sheet metal templates, thread gages, cylindrical plug gages, and drill pins. The role follows metrology procedures and the Sikorsky Tooling Manual, operates precision gages, interprets blueprints and engineering specifications, and assists higher-grade inspectors. It requires at least one year of metrology laboratory experience, shop mathematics, blueprint reading, precision-measuring-instrument knowledge, and the ability to perform basic and complex math.
