Description
1X is hiring a Camera Hardware Engineer to develop and validate the vision hardware powering its humanoid robot NEO. The role owns camera module validation from prototype bring-up through qualification and mass production, establishes image quality standards and performance metrics, characterizes optical, electrical, and system-level performance, designs calibration and manufacturing test processes, and partners with computer vision, machine learning, electrical, mechanical, and supplier teams. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, at least three years of camera and imaging systems experience, Python and C/C++ programming, Linux proficiency, and full-time onsite work in San Carlos, California.
