Description
OneSchool Global is hiring a Student Support Assistant (Teacher Aide) for its Palmerston North Campus to provide one-on-one support to a student with Type 1 Diabetes throughout the school day. The role involves assisting with learning and school activities, monitoring wellbeing according to care plans, fostering independence, and coordinating with teachers and school staff. It is a fixed-term full-time position of 25–30 hours per week, starting 16 November 2026 or ASAP and ending 10 December 2027. The employer seeks a caring, patient, and empathetic person with strong communication skills, the ability to follow health and learning support plans, and valid New Zealand working rights; previous experience with children requiring ongoing health or wellbeing support is desirable but not essential.
