Hamilton Relay is hiring entry-level Captioning Assistants to provide telephone captioning for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or have difficulty speaking. The role is remote for residents of the Jackson, Mississippi area, with part-time evening shifts, paid training, provided computer equipment, and work-from-home options after training. Applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, type at 35 words per minute with high accuracy, pass a criminal background check, maintain consumer confidentiality, and complete two weeks of onsite training. The position requires a high-speed home internet connection, an ethernet connection to a work computer, and a quiet, private workspace.
