Description

This position involves performing duties directly on a nursing unit or remotely in a central unit, focusing on continuous monitoring, interpreting, communicating, and documenting cardiac rhythms and rhythm components.

Required Skills

cardiac rhythm interpretation
telemetry lead placement
technical operation of the central monitoring station
troubleshoots routine technical problems
Maintains all telemetry equipment and telemetry supplies inventory.
Documents patient periods off telemetry for showers, tests, and procedures.
Analyzes cardiac rhythm and records measurements, calculations, & interpretation of patient record in accordance with established protocols.
Attends staff meetings. Reads/signs 100% of meeting minutes.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: six months
Preferred Qualifications: Acute care experience and prior completion of dysrhthmia recognition course preferred.
