The Cardiac Sonographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound testing, including echocardiograms, patient preparation and positioning, image acquisition, documentation, report preparation, equipment maintenance, and supply management. The role requires completion of an ultrasonic technology course, CPR certification under American Heart Association guidelines, and professional sonography and echocardiography credentials. It also involves patient assistance, compliance with OSHA and HIPAA policies, and customer service responsibilities.
