Description
The Career Development Specialist reports to the Director of Employment Services and develops and sustains internships and competitive job placements for homeless and formerly homeless individuals with mental illness and substance abuse histories. The role assesses clients for job fit, customizes employment opportunities, provides vocational counseling and job coaching, develops employment training curricula, maintains client records and program documentation, and supports employer and program effectiveness. It requires a bachelor's degree, at least two years of employer relationship-building experience, and experience with employment and psychoeducational groups; the work is hybrid with four days in the office and one day remote.
