Description
The Direct Support Professional provides direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential or periodic community programs. Responsibilities include implementing individualized service plans, assisting with personal care, housekeeping, recreation, transportation, community integration, medication administration, meal preparation, health monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting incidents. The role is non-exempt and may be full-time or part-time, pays $9.50 per hour, and requires a valid driver’s license with a one-year clean driving history. A high school diploma or equivalent and six months of human services experience are preferred, while a high school diploma or equivalent is required for New Jersey hires.
