Description
The Caregiver supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism and related conditions, in REM West Virginia’s waiver homes and group homes. Duties include developing meaningful relationships, helping participants achieve developmental goals, supporting personal hygiene and daily activities, and assisting with budgeting, dental hygiene, exercise, and nutrition. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance in some positions, and the ability to cook, clean, assist with personal care, and remain calm in stressful situations. Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred, and the position offers $14.75 hourly with on-demand pay options.
