Description
The Educational Specialist (CARES Community Coordinator) will implement community-engaged strategies, organize events, lead co-envisioning sessions, create committees, coordinate CARES stations, manage resources and volunteer systems, develop annual programming plans, measure impact, prepare reports, and travel throughout Hawaii County. The role is full-time and temporary for 11 months, with application materials due by October 9, 2026, 11:59 PM HST. Applicants need a baccalaureate degree in Public Administration, Agriculture, Social Work, or a related field plus three years of progressively responsible community development experience involving volunteer management and stakeholder engagement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
