Description
The Carpenter – Boat Builder will construct, repair, refurbish, and maintain fiber and wooden vessels, including Maldivian Dhonis, by measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, fitting, and finishing timber and marine-grade materials. The role covers hulls, frames, ribs, decks, cabins, flooring, seating, doors, panels, and other wooden fittings, while also identifying damaged components and supporting new boat-building and refurbishment projects. The position requires hands-on marine carpentry knowledge, tool and machinery operation, material handling, safety practices, and the ability to work independently or as part of a workshop or boat-project team.
