Description
The Correctional Counselor will report to the case manager supervisor and plan, coordinate, and implement individual and group counseling programs for assigned inmates at the Bay Correctional Facility in Panama City, Florida. Responsibilities include reviewing inmate files, conducting interviews and tests, maintaining social development folders, providing personal and social adjustment counseling, recommending program modifications, assisting with unit plans, conducting facility rounds, investigating incidents, and supporting pre-release preparation. The role requires an associate’s degree in counseling or a related field, a Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and completion of annual in-service training; a bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience are preferred.
