Description
The Casting Rework Technician selects, positions, and grinds, buffs, polishes, and repairs metal castings according to engineering specifications and customer requirements. The role uses pneumatic and power hand tools, sandblasting equipment, and inspection methods, including fluorescent penetrant inspection and visual inspection, to remove parting lines, defects, and excess metal. It requires high school education or equivalent life experience, two-to-three months of related experience or training, English communication skills, basic mathematical ability, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in a noisy environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles.
