Description
North Alabama Shoals Hospital is seeking a PRN Cat Scan Technician to provide computed tomography imaging and patient care under the direction of the Radiology Director or Supervisor. The role includes reviewing orders and histories, educating patients, administering contrast media or medications within scope, monitoring patients, preparing and troubleshooting CT equipment, performing and evaluating scans, reporting results, maintaining safety and quality standards, participating in performance improvement and continuing education, and accepting on-call assignments with a 30-minute response requirement. A two-year certificate, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree is required, along with a current state Radiation Operator Certificate, ARRT registration in Radiology and Computed Tomography, and BLS certification.
