Description
Ascend Performance Materials is hiring a Category Manager – Direct Materials for its Greater Houston area, primarily remote with periodic travel to manufacturing facilities and the Houston Corporate Office. The role manages sourcing strategies, toll manufacturing, catalysts, specialty chemicals, and other direct materials; leads supplier selection, onboarding, contract negotiations, performance management, RFQs, and supplier quality initiatives; and partners with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, technology, and commercial teams. The position reports to the Procurement Director and requires a related technical BS/BA degree, at least eight years of procurement or engineering experience, and knowledge of procurement systems and purchasing policies.
